What to pack
The BBQ rehearsal dinner will be casual, on a tented lawn next to the main building. Wear jeans, pants, a dress.... whatever you like. Bring a warm layer, though, because it gets chilly at night.
If it doesn’t rain, we will hold the ceremony on a grassy hill. The reception will be formal, though not black tie. Dinner and dancing will be inside, but you may need a warm layer in case of cold weather outside.
Bring your racquets, clubs, and rods. Also pack whites for tennis, a bathing suit for swimming, hiking boots, water wear for canoeing, and your finest for drinking martinis on the porch.
Other Useful Information
The Ausable Club will help you to arrange babysitting. Call 518.576.4411 to receive a list of sitters whom you may call in advance.
Each room can be set up to have either a king or two twins.
Hairdryers and irons are available in every room.
The main building has a media room with internet.
Cell phone service is spotty at best. It is virtually non-existent on the thruway north of Bolton Landing. In Keene and Keene Valley, it works only in a few specific areas. Ask the front desk where you might find cell service or use their land lines.
